Why criss angel is fake
Angel attempted an aerial trick in which he hung upside down while secured in a straitjacket during his show at the Luxor in Las Vegas. As he swayed his body in an attempt to free himself, even the audience knew something was off as he struggled to escape. Angel then lost consciousness mid-air in front of a stunned and fully packed audience before being helped down and rushed to the hospital.
Angel blamed losing consciousness, which he said was a first for him, on elements beyond the show, including not eating properly, lack of sleep and dehydration. Angel said he was asked to get an MRI scan and to stay in the hospital for observation, but signed a release waiving liability so that he could get back to work. By Belinda Goldsmith. So is he a fraud? Then I leave it up to my audience to decide.
The show, which starts its third series in June, re-invents the traditional magic show by combining magic with dangerous stunts, rock music, and Las Vegas-style glitz and theatrics. But in most cases, people who think he is just a very good magician are correct. Most of the time, what you see is just an illusion. This means he performs tricks to entertain the audience, nothing more. And he never claimed otherwise. In fact, Criss himself got quite angry when Uri Geller claimed to have supernatural powers.
Criss insisted that no such powers exists. And of course he knows this very well — he is an expert in faking them! You be the judge.
